An unparalleled design to seek the past and create the present
ZACOE 570S is one of the two tributes to celebrate McLaren 60th anniversary. The concept of ZACOE’s spoiler comes from M8D, which was a Can-Am race car driven by Bruce McLaren before his death in 1970. In that mechanical era, downforce often came from external components and Can-Am racing cars used a method that was very consistent with manufacturing technology at that time to extend fenders into part of spoilers which not only generated maximum downforce at high speeds but also ensured sufficient support for spoilers under heavy pressure from extended fender design.
The front lip of the 570S comes from McLaren's modern F1 race car, and the large front lip not only increases the downforce on the front of the car, but also has aerodynamic designs on the left and right sides that effectively pass through the turbulent flow around the wheels. The vent design on the fender can channel the airflow generated between the tire and the fender when the car brakes at high speeds, which is one of the important designs commonly found on closed-wheel race cars.
ZACOE uses simple geometric side skirts to bring out a clear and distinct sense of layered beauty, finally eliminating the blandness often overlooked by photographers. A brand-new widebody look to the old McLarens with McLaren classic elements is a tribute to McLaren's 60th anniversary.
